Soave Classico Campolungo

Description

Born from the careful selection of our Garganega grapes grown on hills; round wine, with mineral accents, exhibits a complex nose of tropical fruit. A warm, perfumed and mellow Soave.
Great matched with fish dishes, vegetable and fish cruditès. Pairs well with fresh and soft cheese and selected finger food.
Serve at 12°C.

Bronze medal @Sommelier Wine Awards 2018

Soave Classico Doc "Campolungo" 2016 ‘Intense, with notes of pine and lovely herbal freshness, grip and finesse on the palate,’ began team leader Simon Woods, picking up ‘slightly salty notes on a long, intriguing finish’, while Royal Automobile Club’s Davide Dall’Amico found ‘camomile and elderflower aromas, some peach and citrus coming through with a slight note of bitterness on the palate’.

Gold medal for the vintage 2015 of our Campolungo from Gilbert & Gaillard (88/100 points)! Brilliant gold. Inviting nose combining tropical fruits and white-fleshed fruits with a mineral dimension. The same rich, extrovert character recurs on the palate which is smooth and fresh. A characterful Soave showing articulate sense of place.

Silver medal @Decanter World Wine Awards 2017

Our Soave Classico "Campolungo" 2015 obtained the Silver Medal @DWWA 2017! Rich intense pineapple, nectarine, peach and melon aromas. Quite long, slightly honeyed, dry, refreshing aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Bronze Medal @Sommelier Wine Awards 2017

Cristian Sanchez of Hotel du Vin Cambridge enjoyed its ‘tropical fruits, mango and pineapple with apricot and peach aromas, floral citrus notes on the palate with mineral touches and a very long finish’, while Coq d’Argent’s Andrés Ituarte found it ‘very apple pie, an interesting style, with cloudy apple, cinnamon and clove’.
