Dear all,
2017 is here already and is time to draw conclusions of the year that is well gone from the calendars.
2016 was a good year, made of changes, though maturation and evolution.
In the past year, the harvest was pretty long (how we all know, nature is unexpected!)
The climate was quite atypical compared to the past, year after year the seasons are getting more variable and unpredictable, with long and intense rainy times and long drought-stricken weeks.
In spite of the not really rosy expectations for the vintage 2016 (in May and June the weather was...well, let’s say ‘bizarre’ ), summer took over in great form, with a July hot and dry that lifted extremely well the work of the whole year in the vineyard.
At last, at the end of the harvest, we can say that we are very content about it and soon we will share the first results of 2016 with you, with the new vintages.
And now, with scarves and winter coats on, we hope for a good year in 2017 :-)
